I am an existing customer. How do I order a domain?

If you are an existing BT Web Hosting customer, you can order additional domains online via Your account.

As a BT Web Hosting customer, you should already have a primary domain name that you selected when you activated your account.

To order additional domains:

1. Log into Your Account.
2. Click on the Manage services tab at the top of the page.
3. In the Domains section, select Order a domain name link. 
4. In the search box displayed, enter the domain name you would like to use. 
5. Click on the Search button. A list available of domain names is displayed with a green tick in the Available column. 
6. Select the box next to the domain names that you want to use and click continue.
7. From the Term Years list, select the amount of time you wish to register the domain for. As you change the registration period, the price updates automatically.
   
   All 'gTLD' domains, for example, those that end in .com, .net, .org, are available for two, five or 10 year registration periods. All 'ccTLD' domains, that is those that end in .uk, can be registered for two year terms only, while .eu domains can only be registered for one year at a time. Any free domains that you are eligible for are displayed with £0.00. You cannot select the registration period for free domains as these domains are automatically renewed by BT.
   
   You can buy multiple domains in a single transaction and your order summary clearly states which domains are chargeable and which are free.
8. Check that the information displayed in the Registered Details are correct.
9.  Check that the information displayed in the Administrative Details are correct.
10. Complete your payment details in the Payment Details section.
11. Select yes if you agree with the terms and conditions.
12. Click on the place order button to confirm your order.

You will receive immediate confirmation of whether your domain registration was successful. However, it can take up to 60 minutes for you to be able to activate hosting or set up email aliases using your domain in Your account.
