How do I install ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Centre?
Simply:
- Download ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Centre from the CD that came with your handset, or
- download it from http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/activesync/default.mspx
After the software has installed:
- The Synchronisation Setup Wizard will automatically pop up when connecting your handset to your computer.
- Click Next.
- If you're installing ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Centre to complete an update on your handset, uncheck Synchronize directly with a server.
If you want to set up an Exchange account, we suggest you do this after the update. - Click Next.
- In Synchronization Options select the boxes you want to sychronise. If you're installing ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Centre to upgrade your handset, we recommend you uncheck all the boxes.
You can fully synchronise your computer and handset after the update, by opening ActiveSync application. - Click Next.
- If you want data connections, like MMS or Internet Calling, on your handset while connected to your computer, select Allow wireless connections.
- Click Next.
- Once installation is complete, Microsoft ActiveSync will show the handset is Connected.
