How do I set up my PC Backup service when a Windows Installer error message is displayed?

There is a known issue when setting up PC Backup for Windows Vista users. This is currently in the process of being resolved.

However, you can do the following to fix it:

1. Click on this link:

   An Internet browser will open and take you to a page where you can log in.
2. In the Email Address field, enter your email address.
3. In the Password field, enter your password.
4. Click on either of the Reinstall Agent links:



5. Click on the Download Software button:
   

   

6. Click on the Begin Download button:
   

   

   
   The File Download dialog is displayed.
7. Click on the Run button. This will start your service download and the Internet Explorer – Security Warning dialog is displayed.
8. Click on the Run button to verify the publisher:
   

   

   
   BT PC Backup will now begin to install and the BT PC Backup Agent Installer dialog is displayed.
9. Click on the Next button:
   

   

   
   Your account number is displayed and if you want to back up files from multiple computers, you must register an account and download an Agent for each computer.
10. Click on the Browse button and select a folder for the installation program to be downloaded to.
11. Click on the Next button.
12. Once the installation is complete, click on the Finish button to close the BT PC Backup Agent Installer dialog.
13. Open BT PC Backup. The BT PC Backup Agent dialog is displayed.
14. In the Password field, enter your BT PC Backup password:
    

    

15. Click on the OK button. This will synchronise your account and validate your password.
16. Select the Backup Set tab from the menu:
    

    

17. Select the folders you want to back up.
18. Click on the Back Up Now button. You have now backed up your files.
