Paying your bill

Want to pay your bill now? You'll need your BT account number and go to Pay by card

Already paid your bill? Tell us you've paid.

You'll need your BT account number, and if you can't make any calls, you'll also need the bill reference number, which is the six digit code that follows your account number on your bill e.g. Q135NT.

What is Direct Debit?

With Direct Debit you can pay your bills direct from your bank or building society, by either Whole Bill Direct Debit or Monthly Payment Plan. Once you've set it up, it authorises us to take money from your account to pay your bill and if we wanted to change an amount or date of collection, we have to tell you about it first.

It’s convenient for you, as you don't have to remember to pay bills and it’s really simple and safe.

You can set up a Direct Debit through My BT Business account and you'll need your UK bank or building society details, including:

  • your account number
  • your sort code

Can I pay my bill by credit or debit card?

You can pay your BT Business bill now online (using a credit or debit card).

Make sure you've got your account number handy - you won't be able to pay online without it.

There are two ways to do this:

Pay without having (or signing in to) a account

  1. Go straight to our Pay by card page
  2. Enter your BT account number (if you want to pay more than one account, click Add another account)
  3. You tell us how much you want to pay (we can't tell you how much is outstanding on your account, though) by entering the amount in the Amount to pay box
  4. If you want us to send you an email confirming the amount you've paid, tell us your email address
  5. Click Next
  6. Tell us your card details, following the onscreen guidance
  7. Click Pay now


Sign in to your account before you pay

  1. Sign in to My BT Business account
  2. Go to the Billing & Payments page
  3. Click Make a payment (on the left of the screen)
  4. Select the account that you want to pay
  5. You'll see we've already put the amount of your outstanding balance into the Amount to pay box
  6. If you want to pay a different amount, just enter the new amount in the box
  7. If you want us to send you an email confirming the amount you've paid, tell us your email address
  8. Click Next
  9. Tell us your card details, following the onscreen guidance
  10. Click Pay now

How do I know when my bill is due to be paid?

If you are a paper-free customer we'll send you an email to let you know your most recent BT bill is available to view online.

If we send you a paper bill then your bill is due for immediate payment.

Where can I view information about when my next bill is due?

If you have online billing, you can find your next bill date by logging into My BT Business account and it'll be on the overview page in the Payments section.
