How much notice will I need to give to move premises?
This depends on how complex your products and services are, appointment availability and the state of the premises that you are moving to. Currently, like all telecoms suppliers, we've been experiencing delays because of high demand - so if an engineer is needed it could take up to 16 days for a single line transfer, depending on survey and appointment availability.
More complex & multi-line products will almost certainly require a longer lead time.
For more details see I'm moving: how much notice should I give BT?
Will I be charged for moving premises?
This depends on what services you require and what you have installed in your new premises.
You can find more details on charges here.
Can I keep the same number when I move premises?
If you're moving within the area covered by your existing telephone exchange, you should be able to keep your existing number. You can take 0800, 0845 and other BT Telemarketing numbers with you wherever you move in the UK.
If you're moving out of the area covered by your existing telephone exchange but want to keep your existing number, we can arrange for your old number to be redirected to your new number for an additional fee.
Will BT help me move my equipment and install it in my new premises?
Yes, for certain products, but there may be a charge for this so see what charges will I have to pay when I move premises?
The timescales for moving equipment will depend on how complex your equipment is. Please allow 10 to 20 working days for a small office and even longer if a large amount of equipment is to be moved.
