How do I configure the 2-Wire IG1800 router?
To configure your 2-Wire IG1800 router, simply:
- Open Internet Explorer and enter 172.16.0.1 or 192.168.1.254 in the address bar, then click Go.
- The Configuration Home Page is displayed.
- Select the Broadband Link icon at the top of the page.
- The View Broadband Link Summary page is displayed.
- Select Advanced Settings tab.
- The Broadband Link Advanced Settings page is now displayed.
- Enter or select the following values and options.
- Enter your username in the format A*****@hg00.btconnect.com in the Username field.
- Enter your password as supplied.
- Enter 0 as the ATM Circuit Identifier (VPI).
- Enter 38 as the ATM Circuit Identifier (VCI).
- Choose PPP over ATM (PPPoA) from the ATM Encapsulation drop-down list.
- Enter CHAP in the Authentication field.
- Other details you may need to hand are GDMT when prompted for Modulation information and VC-MUX when prompted for Virtual Circuit Multiplexing information.
- Once you are finished click Save to update the configuration details.
- Your 2-Wire IG1800 router is now configured.
