I don't know what my IP address is. How do I check it?

To find out what your existing IP address is using Windows, do the following:

Click Start to open the Start menu.
Select All Programs (XP, Windows 7) or Programs (NT and 2000).
Select Accessories, then Command Prompt or Command Prompt (NT).
At the command prompt, enter ipconfig /all and press return.

This will give you information regarding your computer's TCP/IP setup, including:
- Physical (or MAC) address
- IP address
- Subnet mask
- Default gateway
- DHCP server
- DNS server
The IP address shown above is 192.168.1.214.

The physical address, also known as the MAC address, in the above screen shot is
