Up to 20Mbps broadband speed test for BT router customers

We have two compatible Up to 20Mbps routers which are featured below. To find your maximum downstream and upstream speeds simply, follow the instructions below:
2-Wire 1800HG and 2700HG routers
- Open a web browser.
- Type 192.168.1.254 or http://home in the address bar and press enter.
The 2-Wire configuration page is displayed with several icons along the top. - Select Broadband Link.
- Check that the 'Incoming' speed rating is what you would expect, i.e. similar to the estimate for download speed provided when you entered your phone number in the Business Broadband number checker.
BT Voyager 220v router
- Open a web browser.
- Type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar and press enter.
The BT Voyager configuration page is displayed. - Click Advanced... in the left navigation.
The BT Voyager Advanced Configuration page is displayed. - Click Advanced... again. You may need usermame and password. Both are 'admin'.
The BT Voyager Advanced Configuration page is displayed with extended left menu. - Click Status in the left navigation.
The Overview of Device Information page is displayed. - Check that 'Downstream Line Rate' is what you would expect, i.e. similar to the estimate provided for download speed when you entered your phone number in the Business Broadband number checker.
The downstream speed should be approximately the same as the estimate provided by our Speed upgrades page prior to upgrading.
Note: Your router software displays line speeds in kbps. To translate into Mbps, simply divide by 1000. For example, a line speed displayed as 2000kbps equates to 2Mbps. For further information, visit our speed units page.
