How do I change to paper-free billing?
There are two ways to set up paper-free billing, depending on whether you already have online billing or not. If you want to change to paper-free billing, you'll need to have an online account with us (or you wouldn't receive any bills!).
By the way, if you already have an online account, you must be the primary user if you want to set up paper-free billing.
If you already manage your billing online:
- Go to Online billing & payments to sign in
- Click Log in
- Enter your primary username and password and click log in
- Click on change next to the Bill type of the account that you want to go paper-free
- Select Switch me to View My Bill - Paper-free
- Confirm you accept the terms and conditions then click Continue to see the confirmation page
If you do not yet manage your billing online:
- Go to Your account sign up
- Enter your Personal details
- Create a username using your email address
- Enter the Security details, creating a password
- Click Next
- Enter your BT account number
- Click Next: if you're setting up an online account and paper-free billing for a broadband account, skip step 8 and go to step 9
- Enter your BT landline number
- Click Next
- Enter a Friendly name (which is to help you recognise the account)
- In Billing method, select Switch me to View My Bill - Paper-free
- Confirm you accept the terms and conditions and click Next to see the confirmation page
Your billing and payment details should be available within five days.
