What is BT PC Backup?

PC Backup software is available on all standard desktop or laptop PCs using Microsoft Windows.

Version 7.5.2 supports Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT4, Windows 2000 and Windows XP.

Version 8.x supports Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista.

BT PC Backup does not support any Server based Windows Operating Systems.

Delta Block detects which parts of a backed-up file have changed. After the first full backup it only transmits new or altered data.

SendOnce technology ensures that you only back up files not previously stored at the data centre. Files such as corporate presentations and contracts held on multiple PCs need only be backed up once, for all your users.

Even during your first backup to us, SendOnceTM will ensure that any files you may have that are common to other users do not have to be transmitted to us again - saving you time online.

EmailOptimizer significantly reduces the time needed to back up Outlook email files. Datasure uses a special interface so that you don't have to close-down email during backup.

Opportunistic backup ensures that your data is backed up even when your PC has been switched off at the scheduled backup time. When a scheduled backup hasn't occurred for a couple of days the software starts looking for another opportunity to do the backup. As soon as you establish an Internet or LAN connection your backup takes place automatically, ensuring that the latest revisions of your files are backed up.
