Uninstalling incompatible anti-virus, firewall, spyware and pop-up blocking applications
Before installing your security software, BT highly recommend that you remove any anti-virus and firewall applications currently installed on your computer. To see a list of software that should be automatically uninstalled by BT PC Security, please click here. You should also uninstall any content filtering, parental control and anti-spyware software. In addition, you should disable any pop-up blockers in any running toolbars.

To remove incompatible applications in Windows XP:
- Click on the Windows Start button and select Control Panel.
- Double-click on the Add or Remove Programs icon.
- Click on the name of the application that you want to remove.
- Click on the Remove button.
To remove incompatible applications in Windows Vista:
- Click on the Windows Start button and select Control Panel.
- Under Programs, click on the Uninstall a program link.
- Click on the name of the application that you want to remove.
- Click on the Uninstall button.
