To use File Transfer Protocol you need your FTP username and password. These vary depending on whether you are uploading to your free web space or your BT Web Hosting web space.
How do I reset my FTP password?
You can reset your FTP password at any time by logging in to Your account, selecting the Manage your website/s in the Websites and domain names section of the page then clicking on Change FTP password for the specific account you wish to edit. You are asked to provide your BT Business password as verification and to type your new FTP password in twice. After successful submission, the password is immediately changed. You should update your password in any FTP clients you use.
Note: FTP usernames cannot be changed.
What are the FTP login details for free BT web space accounts?
The login details below apply to the free BT web space option. This is the 50MB made available to all BT Business customers. The web address for this takes the format: http://home.btconnect.com/uniquename.

What are the FTP login details for BT hosting accounts?
The login details below apply to Web Hosting (IBP) and Advanced Web Hosting accounts. You access these with your primary domain name.

| Username | Your primary domain name, for example, mybusiness.co.uk. Note: Do not use www. Or .ftp before your primary domain name. |
