What is Database Manager?
Database Manager is designed for advanced users with BT Advanced Web Hosting only.
Database Manager is a basic web-based MySQL client that allows you to create and manipulate up to two MySQL databases.
To access Database Manager:
- Open the BT Website Centre.
- Click on the Web Site Management tab.
- Click on the DB Manager link.
Database Manager allows you to create databases and tables. To populate a database, you should consider using a script, for example, PHP or ColdFusion, or CGI.
Database Manager builds SQL statements from user definitions after which queries can be built by clicking on the Build SQL Query button. Clicking on the View Query button gives you an opportunity to review the query before running it. Clicking on the Run SQL Query button submits the query to the SQL server.
