Upgrading to PC Backup

BT PC Backup is an online backup service for desktop or laptop computers running Microsoft Windows. The operating systems supported by BT PC Backup version 8 are:

• Windows 2000 Professional with Service Pack 4.
• Windows XP Home Edition, Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack 1 or Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack 2.
• Windows XP Professional, Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 1 or Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2.
• Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005.
• Windows Vista Home Basic.
• Windows Vista Home Premium.
• Windows Vista Business.
• Windows Vista Ultimate.
• Windows Vista Enterprise.

Note:

• BT PC Backup does not support operating systems running on a 64-bit processor.
• BT will (where possible) be migrating all compatible existing BT Datasure and BT PC Backup version 7 users running one of the above operating systems compatible to BT PC Backup version 8. BT will contact the primary user of your BT Business account to confirm upgrade details and advise on the upgrade process.
• BT Datasure and BT PC Backup version 7 users that are running other Microsoft Windows operating systems or server operating systems will not be migrated to BT PC Backup version 8 as it is not compatible with their current operating system.
• The upgrade is carried out in phases. Most upgrades will be completed by mid October 2007. If you have not been upgraded to the BT PC Backup service by then, please contact the helpdesk.
