How do I find the control panel for my BT Business Hub 2700/2701?

BT Business HubsFinding the control panel of your BT Business Hub varies according to your operating system:

 

To find your Hub's control panel on a Microsoft Windows PC:

  1. In Windows XP, click on the Start button and select Run. Enter cmd and press the ENTER key.

    In Windows Vista or Windows 7, click on the Start button, enter cmd and press the ENTER key.

    A dialog similar to the following is displayed:

  2. Enter ipconfig and press the ENTER key. A list of data should appear.
  3. Look for a heading with the word wireless.
  4. Look for the Default Gateway field, as below.

    You may need to press the up arrow on the scrollbar.
  5. Take note of the sequence of four numbers. It is the address of your Hub:

    Default Gateway.........: 192.168.1.254
  6. Open Internet Explorer.
  7. Go to the address bar, enter the number of the Hub’s address and press the ENTER key. You should then see the Hub's control panel Home page:

To find your Hub's control panel on an Apple Mac

  1. Click on the Apple button and select System Preferences.

  2. Double-click on the Network button:

  3. Select Airport on the left of the new window:

  4. Look for the Router field and make a note of the four numbers separated by periods. This is your Hub’s address:

    Router: 192.168.1.254
  5. Open Safari and navigate to the Hub’s address. You should see the control panel's Home page:
