What is Incoming DDI Digit Conversion?

The Direct Dialling In (DDI in the UK but sometimes referred to as DID) Digit Conversion (IDC) feature, allows digits received from DDI exchange lines to be converted to unrelated extension numbers within the system.

This conversion is achieved using a translation table dedicated to a DDI route.

The digit conversion table is set up to map the received (external) DDI digits into the local (internal) Directory Number.

IDC can be selectively applied to DDI routes.

A unique conversion table is available for each route.
