How do I divert my calls to another extension or external number?

Extensions can be programmed to automatically Call forward or Divert to another extension, hunt group or external line.

Follow the instructions below to make changes to these settings:

  1. Open Element Manager, in the Task Navigation Panel.
  2. Click the Configuration tab, extend Telephony, extend Sets and click on Active Sets.
  3. Click on the Line Access tab at the top of the Active sets window
    You will now see a list of all the working extensions on your system.

To program an extension to forward it's calls if they are not answered:

  1. Click on the extension (DN) that you want to change.
  2. Double click in the Fwd No Answer box.
  3. Enter the extension number that you want to forward the calls to.
  4. Double click in the Fwd delay box.
  5. Select the amount of rings before the call is forwarded.

To program an extension to forward it's calls if the set is busy:

  1. Click on the extension (DN) you want to change.
  2. Double click in the Fwd Busy box.
  3. Enter the extension number you want to forward the calls to if the set is busy.

To program an extension to forward all calls immediately, double immediately enter the extension number you want to forward the calls to.

Calls can only be forwarded to an external number if you use ISDN lines.
To program an extension to forward to an external line enter the digit used to access a line (9) followed by the telephone number.

Note: The Allow redirect option in Capabilities and Preferences must be ticked to allow call to be forwarded to external numbers.
