Before you can send any text messages on your mobile, you need to tell it the 'SMS Centre' number. All mobiles need this code or they can't send texts. Each network has its own code.
The code for the BT Mobile network is +447785014311
We pre-populate the BT Mobile SMSC details in the Nokia Lumia so you shouldn't need to do anything once you've inserted your SIM card.
However, if you do have problems, here's how to set your mobile up to send texts:
- From Start, flick left to the App list
- Scroll down to Messaging and then click on it
- Click on the 3 dots in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen
- Click on Settings
- Click in the SMS Centre Number field (there may already be a number in here; if it's the same as the one above, your mobile is already set up to send texts so skip to step 7)
- Input +447785014311
- Click Save
That's it. Get your thumbs ready and start texting!
