Before you can send any text messages on your mobile, you need to tell it the 'SMS Centre' number. All mobiles need this code or they can't send texts. Each network has its own code.
The code for the BT Mobile network is +447785014311
We pre-populate the BT Mobile SMSC details so you shouldn't need to do anything once you've inserted your SIM card.
However, if you do have problems, here's how to set your mobile up to send texts:
- On the home screen of the Galaxy S4 or S3, click on Messaging. If it's not visible, select Apps then Messaging.
- Select the Menu (option) key
- A new sub menu will appear, select Settings
- Scroll down and select Message Centre (there may already be a number in here; if it's the same as the one above, your mobile is already set up to send texts so click OK and skip to step 6)
- Input +447785014311
- Click Save
That's it. Get your thumbs ready and start texting!
