How can I turn my BT Wi-fi (BT Openzone) service on and off?

This can be done via the BT Business Hub's web interface.

BT Business Hub 3Using a BT Business Hub 3:-

  1. Open your web browser and browse to http://btbusinesshub.home to open the Hub Manager.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. When you're prompted, enter your admin password and click OK. This password can be found in the little card which comes out of the top of your hub (if you've not changed it).
  4. Select Advanced Settings, at the top right of the page.
  5. Select Continue to Advanced Settings.
  6. Select Broadband and then BT Wi-fi.
  7. Click Enable/Disable.
  8. The status shows as pending until this process has completed and can take up to 24 hours.


BT Business HubsUsing a BT Business Hub 2700/2701:-

  1. Open a web browser and go to http://home or 192.168.1.254
  2. Click on the Services tab at the top of the page.
  3. Click on the BT Openzone tab.
  4. Click on Enable/Disable. You may be asked to enter your password – if you haven't changed it, the default password is the same as the serial number on the side of your Hub.
  5. The status shows as pending until this process has completed and can take up to 24 hours. 

Some older hubs don't support BT Openzone / BT Wi-fi, in which case you won't see any settings to Enable/Disable it.
