How do I pay my BT Business bill?

There are various ways to pay your bill -

  1. Pay online by card from 'My account'

    Sign into 'My account' and, from the Billing & Payments section, click Make a payment.

  2. Pay online by card without needing to log in to 'My account'

    Go to Pay by card and fill in your details, including your account number and card details.

  3. Set up a Direct Debit

    Do this from 'My account'. You'll need your UK bank or building society details.

  4. Online banking

    We charge a Payment Processing Fee for payments by online banking.

    You'll save £18.00 for each bill if you pay by quarterly Direct Debit or £6.00 for each bill if you pay by monthly Direct Debit.

    You can pay your bill direct from your online bank account using these details -

    • Payee name: BT Business
    • Sort code: 20-00-00
    • Account number: 00835757
    • Payment reference: your BT account number

  5. Pay by cheque

    We charge a Payment Processing Fee for payments by cheque.

    You'll save £18.00 for each bill if you pay by quarterly Direct Debit or £6.00 for each bill if you pay by monthly Direct Debit.

    • Make your cheque payable to British Telecommunications plc
    • Write your BT account number on the back of the cheque
    • Post it together with your bill slip (the tear-off slip at the bottom of your paper bill) to:

      BT Payment Centre
      Durham
      DH98 1BT

  6. BACS

    Most businesses can set up BACS through their own accounts payable supplier payment systems and shouldn't need to contact their bank.

    We charge a Payment Processing Fee for payments by BACS.

    You'll save £18.00 for each bill if you pay by quarterly Direct Debit or £6.00 for each bill if you pay by monthly Direct Debit.

    It is essential that you tell us that your BACS payment is on its way so we can update your BT account quickly. We'll need you send a remittance advice detailing the BT Account number(s) that your payment covers and the total against each invoice.  The remittance advice should be sent to the following email address bacs1.sth@bt.com  or posted to BT Payment Centre, Durham, DH98 1BT

  7. Pay by phone

    We charge a Payment Processing Fee for payments by phone.

    You'll save £18.00 for each bill if you pay by quarterly Direct Debit or £6.00 for each bill if you pay by monthly Direct Debit.

    You can pay your bill by using our automated payment service on 08702 405566. You'll need the landline number of the bill you want to pay together with your debit card details.
